Parliamentary Anger at the Judge for Not Allowing Discussion of the Social Security Law Video

Khaberni -   The legislative session of the House of Representatives, which was held today, Wednesday, witnessed parliamentary protests before it was adjourned, following the refusal to allow the deputies to discuss the amended bill of the Social Security Law in the first reading under the dome.

The Speaker of the House, Mazen Al-Qadi, decided to start the discussion with speeches by the heads of the parliamentary blocs, confirming that he would grant the floor to any deputy who requests it after the completion of their speeches.

After the interventions of the heads ended, Judge Al-Qadi immediately proceeded to vote on the proposal submitted by the head of the Islamic Action Front, Saleh Al-Armouti, which called for rejecting the law, and announced its failure, then voted on referring the law to the Parliamentary Work Committee and announced the success of the proposal, before adjourning the session.

The decision irritated a number of deputies who demanded discussing the bill before referring it to the committees, causing widespread protests, elevated voices, and rejection of the vote, but the Speaker of the House announced the adjournment of the session.

After the session ended, the deputies protested by raising red-colored files of the bill, indicating their rejection of it.
