Khaberni - Israeli Minister of War Israel Katz threatened on Wednesday to assassinate any Iranian leader chosen to succeed the supreme leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in American and Israeli strikes on Tehran.
Katz said in a post on "X" that "any leader chosen by the Iranian regime to continue leading the plan to destroy Israel and threaten the United States, the free world, regional countries, and oppress the Iranian people, will certainly be a target for assassination, no matter what his name is or where he hides."
Since Saturday, Israel and the United States have been conducting airstrikes on Iran, which resulted in the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has retaliated by striking Israel and countries in the region with missiles and drones.
Iran has enforced a maritime blockade on the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, targeting oil tankers attempting to pass through it.
On Sunday, Hezbollah launched several missiles from Lebanon targeting northern Israel; in response to the assassination of Khamenei, pulling Lebanon into an open war with Israel, where devastating raids were carried out on southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
