Khaberni - The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday morning the interception and destruction of two cruise missiles in Al-Kharj Governorate.
The Saudi Press Agency "SPA," citing the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, stated, "Two cruise missiles were intercepted and destroyed in Al-Kharj Governorate," while a drone was intercepted and destroyed in the Eastern Region.
The spokesperson had previously announced the interception and destruction of 9 drones immediately upon entering the kingdom's airspace.
Since Saturday, Israel and the United States have been conducting airstrikes on Iran, leading to the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has been retaliating with missile strikes and drones against Israel and countries in the region.
Iran has implemented a naval blockade on the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz and targeted oil tankers attempting to pass through it.
On Sunday, Hezbollah launched several missiles from Lebanon targeting northern Israel; in response to the assassination of Khamenei, dragging Lebanon into an open war with Israel, where devastating raids were carried out on southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
