Khaberni - The Media Authority decided, on Tuesday evening, to ban the publication of any videos or information related to the kingdom's defense operations, under threat of prosecution by state agencies, in coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces – the Arab Army and the Public Security Directorate.
Regarding licensed media outlets and visiting teams permitted to film by the Authority, the Media Authority affirmed the continued coordination with the Military Media Directorate in the Armed Forces – Arab Army, the Media and Community Policing Department at the Public Security Directorate, alongside various ministries and state institutions, to organize media coverage through approved communication channels. It also emphasized the importance of collaboration in combating all forms of legal violations, and the necessity of coordinating with the Authority to report any content that violates this directive in preparation for taking the necessary legal actions.
The decision comes in light of the ongoing repercussions of armed conflict among external parties in the region, and its reflections on the kingdom, and due to the sensitivity of the defensive operations carried out by our brave Armed Forces – Arab Army. It also comes in light of some unauthorized persons, not licensed to film or engage in media work, publishing and broadcasting misleading and inaccurate information and news, potentially harming the security of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
