AlSafadi to a number of his counterparts The humanitarian disaster in Gaza and the illegitimate Israeli measures in the West B

Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi confirmed on Tuesday that focusing on the war with Iran and its repercussions should not lead to forgetting the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, and he emphasized the importance of progressing in implementing President Donald Trump’s plan concerning it.

Al-Safadi also emphasized the need for the international community to be aware of the danger of the illegitimate Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank, where Israel continues its plans to annex the West Bank and undermine any chances for a two-state solution, which is the only way to achieve fair peace.

Al-Safadi warned in calls with a number of his counterparts about the consequences of Israel continuing to restrict freedom of worship and denying worshippers access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan, in a blatant violation of international law and its obligations as an occupying power.

Al-Safadi renewed in phone discussions he had with the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira, the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha, and the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Oana Toiu, Jordan's condemnation of Iran’s attacks on its territory and on the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Al-Safadi confirmed the Kingdom's solidarity with the brothers in the Arab Gulf states in all the steps they take to protect their citizens, their security, stability, sovereignty, and their legitimate right to self-defense.

Al-Safadi also warned about the danger of escalating tension in the region and stressed the need to restore calm in Lebanon, and the Kingdom’s firm stance in supporting the Lebanese government’s efforts in every step they take to protect their security, sovereignty, and activate their institutions.

Al-Safadi confirmed during the call he received from the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs the Jordanian firm stance on the necessity to respect international law and the sovereignty of states, supporting efforts to find a solution to the war on Ukraine based on the principles that guarantee its sovereignty and the unity of its territories in accordance with international law, and in a manner that establishes stability protecting the legitimate rights of all parties.

Al-Safadi discussed with his counterparts the prospects of restoring calm in the region, and returning to diplomacy as a way to reduce escalation and entrench security and stability.

The Foreign Ministers of Brazil, Ukraine, and Romania confirmed their solidarity with Jordan.
