The Saudi Ministry of Defense stated in a post on X today, Tuesday, based on a preliminary assessment, that the American embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two drones which led to a limited fire and some material damage.
Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesperson for the Saudi Ministry of Defense, reported that the American embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two drones according to preliminary estimates, resulting in a limited fire and minor material damage to the building.
Following this, the American mission in Saudi Arabia issued a stay-at-home notice for its citizens in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dhahran, and restricted "non-essential travel to any military facilities in the area," and also advised American citizens in the kingdom to immediately stay at home.
