Significant Drop in Gold Prices in Jordan in the Fourth Pricing

Gold prices in the local market continued to decline during Tuesday's transactions, with the fourth pricing issued showing an additional decrease compared to the third pricing of the same day, according to releases from the General Union of Owners of Jewelry Trade and Craft Shops.

The price of 21 karat gold dropped by 4 dinars compared to last night’s Monday pricing.

According to the fourth pricing, the selling price of 21 karat gold gram in the jewelry shops reached 104 dinars, versus 99.3 dinars for buying, compared to 105.3 dinars for selling and 100.7 dinars for buying in the third pricing, reflecting a decrease of 1.3 dinars in the selling price and 1.4 dinars in the buying price.

The decrease extended to include other karats, where the selling price of 24 karat gold gram in the fourth pricing was 118.7 dinars, compared to 120.3 dinars in the third pricing, a decrease of 1.6 dinars.

The selling price of 18 karat gold gram also dropped to 92.2 dinars compared to 93.5 dinars, declining by 1.3 dinars, while the selling price of 14 karat gold gram dropped to 72 dinars compared to 73 dinars in the previous pricing, a retreat of one dinar.

When compared with the first pricing of the same day, the pace of decline is more evident; as the selling price of 21 karat gold gram decreased from 108 dinars in the morning to 104 dinars in the fourth pricing, falling by 4 dinars, while the buying price dropped from 103.1 dinars to 99.3 dinars.

The decrease included other karats as well, where 24 karat dropped from 123.3 dinars to 118.7 dinars, 18 karats from 95.8 dinars to 92.2 dinars, and 14 karats from 74.8 dinars to 72 dinars.
