Reopening the Airspace for Air Traffic

Khaberni - The President of the Board of Commissioners of the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, Captain Daifallah Al-Farajat, announced on Tuesday the reopening of Jordanian airspace to all civil aviation movement (incoming, departing, and transiting) and the cancellation of the partial closure that had been in effect since Monday evening, following a meticulous review and comprehensive evaluation of operational and security situations in light of current regional developments.

Al-Farajat confirmed that the decision to reopen the airspace was taken after an in-depth risk assessment coordinated with all relevant entities, emphasizing that the decision is completely aligned with the highest international standards adopted in the field of civil aviation safety and security.

He explained that the authority prioritizes the safety of passengers and aircrews, and the protection of the kingdom's airspace, stating that the technical staff at the authority will continue to closely monitor regional developments around the clock, to take any precautionary measures that ensure the continuity of air operations safely and regularly.

The authority urged passengers to maintain continuous communication with their airlines to follow operational updates and modifications that may occur to flight schedules due to this resumption.

The authority reaffirmed its commitment to providing a safe and stable aviation environment, which enhances Jordan's position as a vital center for air navigation in the region.
