Khaberni - The Jordanian Armed Forces, through the Military Media Director, Brigadier General Mustafa Al-Hiyari, emphasized that they would respond firmly to any attempts that may affect the security of the nation.
Brigadier General Al-Hiyari, regarding the army's statement about the rumors of planes and drones launched from Jordanian territory to strike sites in Iraqi territory, stated that this talk is untrue and did not come from official entities in Iraq, but from a faction aiming to justify any act it may plan to commit, according to the Kingdom.
He confirmed that these threats will not deter the army from performing its duty to protect the security and stability of the Kingdom.
A military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces denied on Monday, in a definite manner, the claims published regarding Iraq being attacked by planes and drones that originated from the Kingdom's territory.
He emphasized that these allegations are false and baseless, reiterating that Jordan's position is firm, and it will not be a battlefield for anyone, nor will it allow any entity to threaten its citizens and the safety of its lands and airspace.
The military source warned that the armed forces are taking all necessary steps to counter any attempts that threaten the safety of the nation and its stability, and will respond firmly to any targeting attempts.
