Khaberni - Driven by the spirit of giving during the blessed month of Ramadan, the Intercontinental Hotel Jordan, in partnership with the International Arab Islamic Bank, held a special charitable Iftar at the Bunyat Center for Special Education. This sincere initiative brought joy and warmth to children with special needs, and reinforced the values of empathy and community support.
The Bunyat Center for Special Education was established in 1974 under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Thurwat Al Hassan; it is part of the Muslim Young Women's Association, a non-profit and charitable organization aiming to serve the Jordanian community through educational and pedagogical projects, meeting the needs of students who suffer from mild to moderate intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. The specialized team at the Bunyat Center evaluates the cognitive, social, and behavioral skills of these students and identifies areas for improvement in order to prepare an individual educational plan for each student.
As part of this initiative, the Intercontinental Hotel Jordan provided a full Iftar and hospitality services, while the International Arab Islamic Bank contributed by giving gifts and organizing recreational activities to bring smiles to the children's faces. This collaboration aims to create festive and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring the children at the center experience the joy of Ramadan in a meaningful and unforgettable way.
Mr. Nicolas Hawort, General Manager of the Intercontinental Hotel Jordan said: "At Intercontinental Hotel Jordan, we are fully committed to supporting our community and making a difference in the lives of those who are most in need. Ramadan is a time of solidarity, and we are honored to share this special occasion with the wonderful children at the Bunyat Center."
In turn, Mr. Eyad Al Asali, General Manager of the International Arab Islamic Bank, added: "We are pleased to bring joy to these wonderful children and help create memorable moments during this blessed month through our collaboration with Intercontinental Hotel Jordan in this charitable initiative, reflecting the bank's commitment to spreading positivity and strengthening community ties, and positive engagement with the local community."
The Iftar was full of love and familiarity, reflecting the true essence of Ramadan. Both the Intercontinental Hotel Jordan and the International Arab Islamic Bank are committed to social responsibility initiatives, and will continue supporting causes that enhance inclusivity and empowerment in the community.
