Tawfiq Okasha enters a state of silence

Khaberni - Egyptian media figure Tawfiq Okasha has announced a complete cessation of media appearances and the closure of his social platforms on social media "until further notice".

In a blog published on his official account, Okasha confirmed his apology for not conducting any press or television interviews at the moment, indicating his decision to "freeze" his personal page and enter into a state of complete silence.

Okasha's language was tinged with a sarcastic tone, as he justified his decision with the desire to make room for certain political and intellectual currents, saying: "I decided to completely stop talking during this period to make room for the Muslim Brotherhood, the leftists, the Nasserists, and those enamored with the sixties era", considering that these people "understand more, are more knowledgeable, and are perfectly suitable for the current stage", as per his statement.

This stance comes after an intermittent absence of Okasha from the screens, reigniting the debate once again about the nature of his relationship with the current media scene and his upcoming orientations.
