Khaberni - The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, confirmed on Tuesday that Jordan’s stockpile of various types of oil derivatives and domestic gas is available in sufficient quantities, noting that the national energy system is functioning according to approved operational and proactive plans.
He explained that technical and logistical alternatives are available and ready, ensuring the continuity of supplying the kingdom with natural gas and oil derivatives under various conditions, confirming that no shortage has been recorded in the local market, especially in the domestic gas used for cooking purposes, which meets the kingdom’s needs completely without any deficits.
He pointed out that the energy sector facilities in the kingdom are operating at full capacity, along with the availability of alternative fuel (heavy fuel and diesel) used in power generation stations during natural gas outages, confirming that the management of the energy portfolio is carried out with high efficiency and with regular daily monitoring, and in full coordination with the various concerned entities within an integrated institutional system that has proven its ability to handle regional changes efficiently and effectively.
