Khaberni - The US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, urged American citizens there to avoid leaving Israel via Jordan at this time due to the irregularities in flight schedules, and limited working hours for crossing the Allenby/King Hussein Bridge.
The Ambassador explained in a statement to the Americans in Israel that the available options for departure are very limited, considering that the best option currently is to use buses organized by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism heading to Taba in Egypt, and then fly from there or head to Cairo to return to the United States.
Huckabee pointed out that those wishing to cross to Jordan can take buses to Eilat, and then complete the trip independently by taxi to the Wadi Araba Crossing.
He emphasized that this route requires individual arrangements and may face logistical challenges.
