Khaberni - The Lebanese Army, on Tuesday, evacuated a number of its advanced positions at the border edge with the occupied territories to other points for repositioning.
Reuters reported according to witnesses that the Lebanese Army withdrew from at least 7 frontline operational sites on the border.
A Lebanese official told Reuters that Israeli occupation forces are conducting incursions across parts of the border with Lebanon.
This comes at a time when the Israeli Occupation Army Minister, Yisrael Katz, announced on Tuesday that he had authorized the Israeli Army, in coordination with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to advance and control additional territories inside Lebanon, under the pretext of preventing gunfire towards Israeli border settlements.
The Israeli Occupation Army, on Tuesday, stated that its forces are stationed at several strategic points in southern Lebanon “in an operation of forward defense” of the towns in northern Israel.
