US State Department Orders NonEssential Staff to Depart Bahrain Jordan and Iraq

Khaberni - The U.S. State Department ordered its non-essential staff to depart from Bahrain, Jordan, and Iraq, amidst rising security tensions in the region.

The department also issued an urgent alert to its nationals in the Middle East, urging them to immediately leave 17 countries via commercial transportation, warning of "very serious security risks" that could threaten their safety.

The list of countries included Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel and the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

This decision comes amidst escalating security and military developments in several countries in the region.
