Khaberni - The President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Nadhir Obeidat, has directed the deans of faculties to adopt flexible and exceptional measures to accommodate the current circumstances facing a number of international students who are abroad, and who have been unable to join on-campus classes on time due to flight restrictions.
He instructed the deans to direct department heads and faculty members to flexibly deal with their situations resulting from compulsory travel circumstances, and to consider each student's individual case until the impediments to their return are resolved.
Abidat highlighted the development of a plan to compensate for the educational losses of these students to ensure their academic progress is not affected.
The university has confirmed that it is closely monitoring the current situation and developments in the region, as this initiative stems from its commitment to its students' interest, noting that these measures will remain effective until the normalization of flight operations and the students' ability to return to their study seats.
It is noted that these measures apply only to international students who are outside the kingdom.
