Khaberni - The specialized technical teams at the National Center for Cyber Security managed to thwart a cyber attack on the wheat silo management system at the Jordanian Public Company for Silos and Supply, according to the center's head, Mohammad Al-Samadi.
Al-Samadi mentioned that the attack attempt, which was traced back to Iran, aimed to tamper with the temperature settings of the wheat stock to damage the strategic stock.
The center director confirmed that the attack was immediately countered and had no impact on the silo management system.
Al-Samadi pointed out that the national monitoring and surveillance system operates around the clock to monitor any suspicious cyber activities and deal with them according to the best international practices and standards.
The National Center for Cyber Security has informed various national institutions and critical sectors of the need to raise their cyber readiness and enhance preventative measures.
The center has designated an emergency number (065900500) for reporting cyber incident cases or threats.
