Israeli Chief of Staff We will not conclude the campaign before eliminating the threat from Lebanon

Khaberni - Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, conducted an assessment of the situation in the Northern Command today, Monday, confirming that the army will not conclude the military campaign "before eliminating the threat emerging from Lebanon".

According to the Israeli army, the chief of the general staff approved the offensive plans to continue the campaign in the north, and he issued instructions to reinforce the offensive effort and the defensive situation in this sector.

Eyal Zamir stated in his remarks: "Our main effort is focused on Iran. We are acting forcefully and striking the terrorist regime in an unprecedented cooperation with the U.S. military. After Hezbollah began firing, I issued instructions to act strongly against Hezbollah as well. The defense army is planned and ready to operate on several fronts simultaneously."

He continued, "The Lebanese government and the Lebanese Armed Forces have been warned many times recently to disarm Hezbollah. They have not moved, so we know how to defend ourselves by our own means. We will not end this campaign by striking Iran only, but by Hezbollah receiving a devastating blow."

Israeli Chief of Staff added, "We will continue to insist on disarming Hezbollah - this is a demand we will not relinquish. The Israeli army will not conclude the campaign before eliminating the threat from Lebanon", he added, "Plans have been ready for a long time and we will seize the opportunity. I trust the commander of the Northern Command and the commanders of divisions and brigades - the defense in Lebanon and Syria is strong. All necessary forces for defense and attack are at your disposal. Utilize the time and the extensive capabilities you possess: land, artillery, air, and naval capabilities, alongside the large forces deployed along the border."

He highlighted that the Israeli army "defends at the front lines of towns and strikes to remove threats," adding, "Protecting the population is our utmost priority - there will be no further evacuation of towns in the land of Israel. The security of the population is our top priority."

Zamir elaborated, "To the residents of the north I say from here - the Israeli army controls the skies of Lebanon and is present on the front lines. Every detected threat will be dismantled.. Our message is clear and resonates throughout the Middle East: we will strike all leaders of terrorism and the factions that rise to harm us. We have proven that, and we will continue to prove it," as he described.

These developments come after Hezbollah declared its responsibility for launching rockets towards Israel early this Monday morning, saying it was "in retaliation for the killing of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei and in defense of Lebanon." Following this, there was heavy Israeli bombing targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut and areas in the south, while Tel Aviv announced the assassination of leaders in "the party" during these attacks.
