Khaberni - The Petra University family commemorated the 70th anniversary of the Arabization of the army leadership, recalling the sovereign historical decision taken by the late King Hussein bin Talal in 1956 to Arabize the army.
The university president, Professor Dr. Rami Abdel Rahim, affirmed that the anniversary of Arabization represents a moment of national pride that reflects the independence of the state's political and military will. He added that the university is keen on instilling these values in the students, to enhance their pride in the Arab army which acts as a safety valve and a fundamental pillar for the stability of the kingdom.
Rahim noted that the armed forces continue today to demonstrate high professionalism in protecting the Jordanian skies from any threats or breaches, confirming that "the skies of Jordan and the safety of its citizens are a red line." He also highlighted the heroic role of the army in conducting air drops for Gaza relief, proving that the Hashemite message is a humanitarian one that transcends borders, placing the support of brethren above all else.
At the end of the events, the university family expressed the highest tributes of loyalty to the Hashemite leadership, confirming their full trust in the homeland protectors’ ability to safeguard the nation's security and sovereignty, praying to God to preserve Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein and his loyal Crown Prince, and to shield it from all harms amid the current regional circumstances.
