Khaberni - Lebanese Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, announced on Monday a ban on the military activities of the Hezbollah militia and restricted its operations to the political sector.
Salam stressed in a press conference following an emergency cabinet session to discuss the repercussions of Hezbollah joining the American-Iranian war, the necessity of preventing the security forces from launching any attacks from Lebanese territory.
The Lebanese Prime Minister also affirmed his country's commitment to the "Declaration of Cessation of Hostilities and Resumption of Negotiations" with Israel to return to the ceasefire.
Salam renewed his government's rejection of any military or security actions launched from Lebanese territory "outside the legitimate institutions".
Hezbollah announced earlier today, Monday, that it had struck the Mishmar HaCarmel site south of the city of Haifa with a batch of rockets and drones "in retaliation for the blood of Imam Ali Khamenei and in defense of Lebanon and its people".
The party added that "the resistance confirmed that the continuation of Israeli aggressions and the assassination of our leaders and youth grants us the right to defend and respond".
On the other hand, the Israeli army conducted intensive air raids on the southern suburbs of Beirut and areas in southern and eastern Lebanon, killing 10 people, in response to the Lebanese Hezbollah's shelling of the southern region of the city of Haifa in northern Israel.
