Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Emergency Room to Monitor Situations and Impact on Tourist Reservations

Khaberni - The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities confirmed on Monday that it is closely monitoring the regional developments against the background of the Israeli–American war on Iran, as part of its commitment to the continuity of the tourism sector and ensuring the safety of visitors and employees.

The Ministry clarified that it has formed an emergency room that includes representatives of the tourism sector and all relevant entities, which is in permanent session, and in continuous coordination with related official institutions, to take appropriate actions according to the developments.

The Ministry indicated that currently residing tourist groups in the kingdom are facilitating their situations normally, with close monitoring of aviation movements and tourist activity at archaeological and tourism sites.

Regarding the reservations of the upcoming tourist groups, the data received indicates that demand is impacted by the current circumstances, with a potential cancellation of reservations during the next three months if the situation continues as it is, which may affect the season of March, April, and May.

In the same context, the Ministry mentioned that the kingdom has not closed its airspace, and the movement of planes continues based on assessments of competent authorities and in accordance with considerations of public safety.

The Ministry affirmed the continuation of coordination with relevant entities, urging visitors and citizens to follow official updates as they happen, and to communicate with the tourist police hotline at the number (117777) to report any emergency or request assistance.
