Khaberni - The Syrian Ministry of Energy clarified that the reduction in electricity supply hours is currently due to a decline in the quantities of natural gas supplies coming through Jordan and sometimes their cessation.
This is a result of the current regional escalation and the consequent temporary inability to continue pumping according to previous agreements.
The Ministry confirmed that these conditions are due to external factors, indicating that the technical teams continue to manage the electrical system by relying on the available local gas production. They regulate the supply hours according to the available capabilities, ensuring the stability of the electrical network and its continued operation.
Additionally, the Ministry stated that it is working in parallel to enhance and increase local gas production, which contributes to supporting the electrical system and improving the supply situation in the upcoming phase.
