Khaberni - The Associated Press reports that a gunman wearing a shirt with the Iranian flag killed two people and injured 14 others in a shooting in Texas, USA.
An official in the American law enforcement authorities told the agency that the gunman, aged 53, was wearing a jacket inscribed with the phrase "The King is God," and another shirt with the Iranian flag design.
The police said that police officers in Austin fired upon and killed the gunman, who used a pistol and a rifle to carry out the attack, at a bar in Austin, the capital of Texas.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation reported that the shooting incident is under investigation, and it is being treated as a potential terrorist incident.
Al Jazeera correspondent Ahmed Al-Rahid said that information from the scene indicates that the gunman came to the United States in 2006 from Senegal, acquired American citizenship in 2013, and had religious books in his car.
The United States and Israel had started a military campaign against Iran yesterday morning, Saturday, which has so far resulted in the deaths of hundreds, including the leader Ali Khamenei and security officials.
Tehran responded by launching rocket barrages and drones towards Israel and U.S. bases in Gulf states.
