Erdoğan Mourns Khamenei and Offers Condolences to the Iranian People

Khaberni - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed his deep sadness regarding the news of the death of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which was the result of attacks in the region.

In an official statement released through his social media accounts, the Turkish president offered his heartfelt condolences to the brotherly Iranian people, praying for God to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy and admit him into His expansive paradises. Erdoğan added that he offers these condolences on behalf of his country and the entire Islamic nation.

The Turkish president reaffirmed in his statement Turkey's steadfast support for the Iranian people during this difficult time. He emphasized that Ankara, with full determination, will continue its efforts in cooperation with brothers in Iran to ensure the return of peace and stability to all friends and brothers across the region.

Erdoğan also emphasized the importance of joint efforts to end the ongoing conflict in the region, and to return to the language of dialogue and diplomacy as the only means to resolve crises. He pointed out that the priority now is to prevent further escalation that threatens the security and stability of the peoples of the Middle East.

The Iranian television officially announced today, Sunday, the killing of the Iranian leader Ali Khamenei.
