Civil Aviation Jordanian air space is open and air traffic is stable

Khaberni - The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, Dhaifallah Al-Farajat, confirmed that the Jordanian airspace is operating normally for air traffic, stressing the continuity of operational efficiency in the Kingdom's civil aviation facilities.

Al-Farajat clarified that the figures recorded yesterday reflect the flexibility in dealing with the current conditions in the region, as more than 140 aircraft crossed the Kingdom's airspace yesterday, representing 56% of the usual traffic. This variance is mainly due to the closure of the airspaces of several neighboring countries due to the current situations.

Additionally, Queen Alia International Airport handled about 120 incoming and outgoing flights, reaching 60% of the normal traffic, following the temporary suspension or cancellation of their flights to the region by several foreign airlines.

In a related context, Al-Farajat emphasized the commission's commitment to protecting the rights of travelers and ensuring they receive the necessary care. The commission urges all travelers affected by canceled flights to promptly request alternative flights directly from the concerned airlines, affirming that this is "an intrinsic right guaranteed by the regulations" published on the official website of the commission.

In case the airlines do not respond to the demands of the travelers or provide suitable solutions, the commission invites the travelers not to hesitate in filing an official complaint through the following channels:

The official website: www.carc.gov.jo

Complaint hotline: [+962799522502]

Al-Farajat concluded his statement by affirming that the commission closely monitors the pace of air traffic and developments in the region, in coordination with all related entities to ensure the security and safety of civil aviation in the Kingdom.
