Khaberni - The Government Communication Minister and government spokesperson Mohammed Al-Momani said that the Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army represents a model in sacrifice, discipline, and professionalism, and he confirmed pride in their role in protecting the sovereignty of the nation and securing its safety, especially in light of the current regional circumstances.
The minister, in an intervention on Jordanian Radio on Sunday, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Arabization of the army's leadership, which coincides with the first of March, referred to this historical decision, which was taken by His Majesty the late King Hussein bin Talal - may God bless his soul - in 1956, about seventy years ago, which marked a pivotal station in the journey of the modern Jordanian state.
The minister spoke about the current regional developments, saying that since the beginning of these developments, a comprehensive media plan has been implemented to deal with the events and provide citizens with information firsthand and transparently, in coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Directorate of Public Security, and other relevant entities.
He emphasized the importance of not being drawn into rumors or misleading information, explaining that the relevant authorities are following some accounts that publish false or harmful news and information, and the law will be applied to anyone who harms the nation or affects its security and stability.
He concluded by affirming that maintaining the cohesion of the internal front is a shared responsibility, calling on everyone to verify accuracy and obtain information from its official sources, stressing that Jordan, with its leadership, army, and institutions, is capable as always of overcoming challenges and crises.
He said that Jordanian Radio, which also marks its founding anniversary today, Sunday, is the mother radio of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and has been a fundamental pillar of the national discourse for decades, and has played a leading role in enhancing public awareness and defending national causes, and engaging in political and media battles in defense of Jordan and its supreme interests.
He added that remembering the history of the radio reflects the extent of the significant national, political, and media role it has played, praising its continued professional and responsible approach in serving the nation and its leadership.
