Khaberni - On Saturday evening, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi received a phone call from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during which the serious escalation witnessed in the region was discussed.
During the call, Rubio affirmed the United States' solidarity with Jordan in facing Iranian aggressions on its territory, and its support for all measures it takes to protect the safety, security, and sovereignty of its citizens.
Al-Safadi strongly condemned the unjustified Iranian attacks on Jordanian territory and on other Arab countries, stressing that the kingdom will take all necessary and available steps to protect its citizens, security, stability, and sovereignty, and expressed his appreciation for the United States' solidarity with Jordan.
Al-Safadi emphasized the need to intensify efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability, and adopting diplomacy as a way to resolve crises and de-escalate tensions in the region.
