Khaberni - Last night, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi received a phone call from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During the call, the serious escalation witnessed in the region was discussed. Rubio confirmed during the call the United States' solidarity with Jordan in facing the Iranian assaults on its territory and supported all measures taken to protect the safety of its citizens and the security and sovereignty of its nation. Safadi emphasized the condemnation of the unjustified Iranian attacks on Jordanian territory and on the territories of other Arab brotherly nations, and stated that the Kingdom would take all necessary and available steps to protect its citizens and ensure its security, stability, and sovereignty. He expressed appreciation for the United States' solidarity with Jordan. Safadi also stressed the necessity to intensify efforts aimed at securing stability and peace, and adopting diplomacy as a means to end crises and de-escalate tensions in the region.
