Khaberni - The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, confirmed today, Sunday, that Iran is prepared "for all scenarios," including the killing of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ali Khamenei.
Ghalibaf said in a video broadcast by the official television, "We have prepared for these moments and envisioned all scenarios," and added, addressing the U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, "You have crossed the red line and you will pay for it."
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament described the leaders of the United States and Israel as "despicable criminals" who will face "devastating strikes" due to their ongoing attacks on the Islamic Republic.
He also affirmed that Iran is ready for any potential scenario for the development of events, emphasizing that the country will continue to adhere to the approach established by the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as mentioned by "Al-Alam" channel.
Ghalibaf stated: "We have prepared for all scenarios and put all necessary plans in place... Imam Khamenei, who was martyred, was a believer and steadfast, and we will firmly continue on his path."
The death of the Supreme Leader was confirmed early this morning, Sunday, where the Iranian government issued an official statement announcing Khamenei's death, vowing that "this heinous crime will not go unpunished," following the attack for which it held the United States and Israel responsible.
"The Roar of the Lion"
Israel announced on Saturday morning the start of the attack on Iran, which it named "The Roar of the Lion," then Washington announced that it was a large-scale joint operation with Israel named "The Rampant Rage," stating that its aim was to overthrow the Iranian regime. Iran responded by launching volleys of missiles towards Israel and the Gulf states where several U.S. bases are located, and Iraq and Jordan.
The U.S. President announced that the goal of the attack was to destroy Iran’s military capabilities and overthrow its regime, and its "imminent threats" to the United States and its allies.
