Minister of Tourism Formation of an Emergency Team for the Tourism Sector to Follow Regional Developments

Khaberni  - Tourism and Antiquities Minister Imad Hijazin announced the formation of an emergency team for the tourism sector that includes all relevant agencies, in light of the current regional developments, aiming to monitor updates immediately and assess both the direct and indirect impact on air travel and tourism activity.

This was stated during the Ramadan Iftar hosted by the Jordanian Incoming Tour Operators Association last Saturday, attended by several ministers, members of parliament, dignitaries, and ambassadors, along with travel and tourism companies working in inbound tourism.
Hijazin highlighted the vital role played by the Jordanian Incoming Tour Operators Association and how its future vision aligns with the targets of the Executive Program for Economic Modernization (2026–2029).

He affirmed the ministry's commitment to enhancing frameworks of partnership and cooperation with various relevant entities, contributing to the advancement of the tourism sector, implementing programs and initiatives that would increase tourist numbers, diversify tourism products, and enhance the quality of services provided, thereby boosting Jordan's competitiveness on the regional and international tourism maps.

On his part, the Chairman of the Association's Board, Nabih Riyal, expressed deep appreciation for the continuous support of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to the association's efforts, emphasizing the importance of an effective partnership between the public and private sectors in elevating the Jordanian tourism sector and enhancing its competitiveness in the global market.
