Khaberni - Turkish Airlines has announced the suspension of its flights to 10 countries in the Middle East in light of the confrontation between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
The company's media office head, Yahya Ustun, stated in a post on the Turkish platform “En Social”, that the cancellations are as follows:
Flights cancelled today, Saturday to: Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, and Oman.
Flights cancelled until March 2, 2026, to: Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iran.
Ustun mentioned that the cancellation decision was due to several countries closing their airspace following reciprocal attacks between Iran, and the United States and Israel.
He alerted to the possibility of additional cancellations and urged travelers to follow the latest updates through the company's official website.
Earlier today, the Israeli Ministry of Defense's office announced that Israel had launched a preemptive attack on Iran to remove threats facing the country, while Iran vowed a decisive response to this aggression, leading a number of countries to close their airspace.
These strikes come after the failure of talks conducted in Switzerland on Thursday between American and Iranian officials regarding the nuclear file, in a last diplomatic attempt before the outbreak of the conflict.
RT's correspondent reported hearing loud explosions in the skies over central Israel including Tel Aviv and its surroundings following news of an Iranian missile attack in response to the American-Israeli operation.
