AlSafadi Iran attacked Jordan without any justification

Khaberni  - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Al-Safadi, today affirmed Jordan's absolute condemnation of the Iranian missile attacks on Jordanian territory, and its rejection of them as a serious, unjustified assault on the kingdom’s security, the safety of its citizens, and a breach of its sovereignty.

Al-Safadi emphasized in phone calls with several of his counterparts that Jordan is taking all necessary measures to protect the safety of its citizens and the security and sovereignty of the kingdom from these attacks that were launched by Iran without any justification. This, at a time when Iran is aware of the efforts Jordan made to resolve the crisis peacefully and prevent its territory or airspace from being used in any attack against it.

Al-Safadi also affirmed Jordan's absolute condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the State of Kuwait. He stressed Jordan's complete solidarity with the brothers in these countries and the kingdom’s support for any steps they take to protect their security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of their citizens.

Al-Safadi reaffirmed that Jordan continues to coordinate and work with its brothers and friends to end regional tensions, de-escalate conflicts, and establish security and stability in the region. He emphasized the necessity of restraint and the adoption of diplomatic solutions and dialogue as ways to overcome crises, respect international law, and the sovereignty of states to maintain the security and stability of the region.

The measures taken by Al-Safadi included contacts with the Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Syrian Arab Republic, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Indonesia.

These also included contacts with the Foreign Ministers of Germany, Spain, Britain, Belgium, Sweden, France, Latvia, Norway, and Austria.

The ministers emphasized their countries' solidarity with Jordan, and their support for all measures and actions taken by Jordan to protect the safety of its citizens and the security and sovereignty of the kingdom.
