Iranian Authorities Urge Tehran Residents to Leave the Capital

Khaberni - The Iranian government called on Tehran residents on Saturday to leave the capital "while remaining calm", following the start of the American-Israeli attack on the country.

A text message sent by the authorities to Iranian phones and received by AFP stated, "Due to the joint operations carried out by the United States and the Zionist entity against Tehran and some major cities, please, if possible and while remaining calm, head to other cities".

Iran had earlier denied on Saturday the validity of news reported by Western media about the death of a number of Iranian leaders in the Israeli and American strikes that hit Iran today, Saturday.

While Israeli officials said that the air strikes on Iran targeted a large number of Iranian officials, including the leader Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Bazeshkian, Iran said that the leader was not in Tehran and had been "moved to a safe place," and that Bazeshkian was fine, not harmed, and does not suffer from any problem.
