Crisis Management The Necessity of Adhering to Instructions and Gathering Information from Official Sources

Khaberni - The National Center for Security and Crisis Management issued, on Saturday, educational guidelines for the citizens and residents in the Kingdom, illustrating the measures that should be followed in case of hearing alarm sirens or falling objects from the sky, as part of enhancing community awareness and increasing the general readiness to deal with various emergency situations.

The Center explained that in the event of hearing alarm sirens while inside a home or any closed building, it is necessary to stay away from windows to protect oneself from the danger of shrapnel or flying glass, avoid using elevators due to the possibility of power failures, immediately contact the emergency number (911) in case of injuries or damages, refrain from spreading rumors, receive information only from official sources, maintain calmness, and avoid panic, and use the phone only when necessary to avoid network congestion.

In the event of being outdoors or in an open area during the sounding of alarm sirens, the Center emphasized the importance of, immediately heading to the nearest building and taking shelter within it, and if a building is not available nearby, it is advised to lie down on the ground, cover the head with hands, avoid staying in open areas, and take shelter beside a wall or in a low area if access to a safe shelter is not possible.

If inside a vehicle, it is preferable to stop at the side of the road and stay inside it, report any injuries via the number (911), and not to occupy the communication lines unless necessary.

In the event of strange objects falling from the sky, the Center clarified that it is necessary, to immediately move away from the fall site to a safe distance, not approach the strange object due to the possibility of it containing explosive or hazardous materials, and refrain from touching or moving any part of the fallen object.

Immediately contact the emergency number (911) to report to the relevant authorities, avoid gathering or photographing the event site or sharing the photos via social media to maintain security and the operation of the specialized teams, reassure family members and ease feelings of panic, and use the phone only in emergency situations.

The National Center for Security and Crisis Management affirmed the importance of everyone adhering to these guidelines, emphasizing the necessity of obtaining information from official channels only, which contributes to maintaining security and public safety.

Alarm sirens sounded in Jordan on Saturday at the time when Israel launched an attack on Iran.

Israel said it carried out a "preventive" attack against Iran on Saturday, which renews the military confrontation in the Middle East and weakens the chances of achieving a diplomatic solution to the longstanding conflict with the West regarding Tehran's nuclear program, at a time when the Fars news agency reported 3 explosions in central Tehran.

This attack, which was preceded by a 12-day air war between Israel and Iran in June, followed repeated warnings from the United States and Israel that they would launch another attack if Iran continued its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said, "Israel launched a preventive attack on Iran to counter the threats it faces."
