Israeli Health Ministry Raises Hospital Alert Level to Highest

Khaberni - The Israeli Ministry of Health issued instructions on Saturday for all hospitals to raise the alert level to the highest and move to protected areas and underground facilities according to prior guidelines.

It stated that no outpatient or non-emergency (elective) surgeries will be carried out. Also, no operations will be performed in health insurance clinics and childcare clinics except when absolutely necessary, such as dialysis.

The Ministry of Health directed hospitals to discharge patients who do not need to be hospitalized, either to their homes or to long-term care facilities.

Israel said it carried out a "preemptive" attack on Iran on Saturday, renewing military confrontation in the Middle East and undermining the chances of reaching a diplomatic resolution to the longstanding conflict with the West over Tehran's nuclear program, while the Fars News Agency reported three explosions in central Tehran.

This attack, which was preceded by a 12-day aerial war between Israel and Iran in June, follows repeated warnings from the United States and Israel that they would launch another attack if Iran continued with its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said, "Israel launched a preemptive attack on Iran to counter the threats it faces."
