Terrifying record for Guardiola against Real Madrid

Khaberni - Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, looks to continue his dominance in direct confrontations against Real Madrid, when he meets the capital team again after the draw placed the two teams in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

The draw, on Friday, resulted in a very early clash between Real Madrid, the historic champion of the tournament with 15 titles, and Manchester City, led by Spanish technical director Josep Guardiola, in a classic matchup that has been repeated frequently in recent seasons of the competition.

Guardiola has an impressive record against his traditional rival, having come out on top as a coach in 14 of 28 official encounters, while drawing 6 times and tasting defeat in 8 matches.

The teams coached by Guardiola against Real Madrid scored 59 goals, which are Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City, compared to 44 goals for "Los Merengues".

It should be noted that the Spanish-English summit has become one of the classics of the mother European competition, as they have faced each other 11 times since the 2019-2020 season, and 15 times in total since their first encounter in the group stage of the 2012-2013 season, noting that Real Madrid emerged victorious six times compared to five for City and four draws.
