Khaberni - The Greater Irbid Municipality, today Friday, removed an old, abandoned, and collapsing building on Hakama Street, posing a health hazard and a threat to public safety.
Chairman of the Greater Irbid Municipality committee, Imad Al-Azzam, stated that the removal of the building is part of the municipality's plan to address dangerous and abandoned buildings within the city, preserving the safety of citizens and properties, and reducing environmental and health risks in vital areas.
He noted that the municipality, in coordination with relevant entities, continues to identify abandoned buildings, and take necessary actions in cooperation with their owners, ensuring public safety and enhancing the urban landscape.
Al-Azzam called on citizens to cooperate with the municipality's efforts and to report any abandoned or dangerous buildings, in order to preserve public safety and the local environment.
