Khaberni - Today, Friday, the health affairs teams at the Greater Irbid Municipality destroyed 1,188 kilograms of bananas unfit for human consumption, during its regulatory campaigns in the markets during the holy month of Ramadan.
And Emad Al-Azam, head of the municipal committee, said that the seized quantity was poorly stored and showed signs of spoilage and rot, noting that all quantities were destroyed in accordance with the health regulations and instructions followed.
Al-Azam also confirmed that the municipal health inspection teams will continue their field visits to the markets in cooperation with the Public Health Committee and various relevant entities to ensure safe food for the citizens.
