Khaberni - Egyptian artist Hamada Helal revealed terrifying details he lived through while filming the drowning scene in the sixth part of his series, Al Medah "Legend of the End," which is being aired during the current Ramadan season, confirming that he faced death before miraculously surviving.
Helal explained in statements to media personality Sarah Dandrawi on Al Arabiya channel that his insistence on realism almost cost him his life. Unlike his previous experiences, the scene was filmed with his hands and feet completely shackled, along with heavy weights totaling about 100 kilograms to ensure his rapid descent to the ocean floor.
He commented, "The water pulled me down and I couldn't even gesture for help... The crew thought I was excelling in acting out the dying scene, while I was actually trying to untie myself to survive."
With striking honesty, Helal talked about a video clip he filmed immediately after the tragic incident and published it then decided to delete it immediately, and the reason is "the look in his eye" at that moment, describing it as "the glare of death," feeling in those seconds that his life had truly ended.
Apart from the drowning danger, Hamada Helal settled the debate surrounding the conclusion of the continuous series of Al Medah, explaining the meaning of the title of the sixth part of the series, indicating that "Legend of the End" refers to the closing of this particular installment, and does not necessarily mean a final stop to the series or the end of its parts.
