Khaberni - About 35,000 worshipers performed the Isha and Tarawih prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday evening, despite the restrictions and measures that the Israeli occupation authorities impose on worshippers entering the Old City.
The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem reported that thousands of Palestinians flocked to the mosque to pray in a spiritual atmosphere, while Israeli forces were deployed at the gates of the Old City and around the mosque, checking the identities of several youths and preventing some from entering.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque witnesses a large influx of worshipers during the blessed month of Ramadan, amid strict measures and restrictions on the entry of those coming from the West Bank, in addition to imposing age restrictions at certain times.
