Khaberni - The public safety committee teams in Zarqa governorate have issued 19 warnings and 35 alerts to various food facilities since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, as part of an intensive monitoring campaign aimed at protecting the health of citizens and ensuring the safety of food products, sweets, and Ramadan juices circulating in markets.
Zarqa governor Firas Abu Qaoud stated that these measures were taken following the execution of 123 field visits, which included restaurants, grocery stores, malls, and supply warehouses, where inspection teams focused on verifying compliance with health requirements, storage safety, validity of displayed products, and their accordance with approved standards, especially in light of the increased demand for food and drinks during the holy month.
He indicated that the public safety committee teams, in cooperation with the relevant regulatory bodies, foremost among them the Food and Drug Corporation, the Environmental and Food Health Section in Zarqa Health Directorate, and the municipalities, have issued 19 warnings to facilities that violated the necessary health standards and regulations, while 35 other facilities were alerted to rectify their situations and fully comply with the applicable instructions.
He emphasized that the committee would not tolerate any violations that affect health monitoring standards, stressing that the health of citizens and the safety of their food are top priorities that do not accept complacency or negligence, pointing out that all facilities are required to apply health requirements precisely and responsibly.
Abu Qaoud noted that the public safety committee teams continue their work in shift systems and around the clock, through ongoing inspection and monitoring rounds, reflecting a proactive and firm approach in monitoring markets and controlling violations, thus enhancing confidence in the actions taken and promoting a culture of compliance with health standards during the holy month of Ramadan.
