Khaberni - Artist Ahmed Maher appeared as a guest on the program "All the Talk," hosted by media personality Amro Hafez on "Al-Shams" channel, where he disclosed details related to the video that recently spread and sparked widespread controversy about the father of artists Yasser and Ramez Galal, affirming that the recorded clip does not reflect his ethics or the nature of his relationship with his colleagues, but was rather the result of harsh human circumstances and severe psychological pressure he faced at that moment.
Maher explained that he had just come from the funeral of a close friend, where feelings of sadness and suffocation overwhelmed him, forcing him to leave the place quickly and take refuge in his car to escape from the burdensome memories that besieged him.
Ahmed Maher noted that he was surprised by a large gathering of cameras and microphones, and some reporters jostling to ask questions at an inappropriate time, without consideration for the sanctity of death or his psychological state, pointing out that his attempt to move the car was met with dangerous behaviors, including some throwing themselves in front of the vehicle, which increased his nervous pressure.
He added that one of the reporters ambushed him with a question about an old episode recorded years ago with Ramez Galal, describing the question as ill-timed and reopening an old wound, causing Ahmed Maher to react for a few moments by uttering harsh words that do not reflect his true feelings.
Ahmed Maher: I did not mean what I said
Maher confirmed that what he said was the result of severe nervous pressure and high blood pressure, explaining that his phrases came after a previous conversation that carried old feelings of affection, but slicing it out of context misunderstood the intention and ignited the debate.
Maher directed a message to Ashraf Zaki, appreciating his wise and swift intervention to calm the atmosphere and contain the situation, affirming that the union played a responsible role in protecting its members and preventing the escalation of the crisis, and he also praised Yasser Galal, describing him as a loyal son, considering his jealousy for his father very natural, and commending his elegant statement that reflected a good origin and a long history of friendship and companionship.
Ahmed Maher concluded his talk by affirming that what happened was merely a moment of human weakness, considering that the ordeal revealed to him the size of the public's love for him and their understanding of his situation, and emphasizing that an artist remains a human who goes through tough conditions and transient emotions that do not encapsulate his career or values.
