Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality has completed the project of installing surveillance cameras along Industry Street in the Al-Bayader area, as part of its plan aimed at improving traffic safety and monitoring violations.
The project included the installation of a camera for vehicle violations at the first traffic signal from Al-Nahda roundabout towards Industry Street, along with installing another camera after the Civil Defense roundabout at the end of Industry Street towards Abu Al-Sous, in addition to installing a camera in the opposite direction at the other intersection at the same location.
A surveillance camera was also installed at the Yassir Mall signal going down Wadi Al-Seer, aimed at organizing traffic and reducing hazardous overpasses.
The Municipality had previously stated in announcements its intention to install about 5500 cameras in various areas of the capital, Amman, as part of its efforts to curb excessive speeding, monitor environmental violations such as littering, and enhance general safety levels.
