Jordan Honoring a Number of Doctors of Specialization Programs in Gaza Strip

Khaberni - The Jordanian Committee for Supporting the Health Sector in Gaza, during its annual charitable Iftar event last Wednesday evening, honored several doctors from the Gaza Strip who completed their advanced specialization and training programs in the Kingdom, under the "Health Personnel Scholarship Project".
This recognition crowns the committee's efforts in enabling 168 health personnel from the sector (specialists, dentists, nurses, and lab technicians) and training them to be the main pillar for enhancing the hospitals in the Gaza Strip with specialized expertise amidst the current conditions.
The committee's chairman Jihad Al-Ajlouni confirmed that this meeting embodies the pathways the committee has been working on since its establishment in 2008, which are not limited to direct relief support through sending medicines and medical delegations, but also extend to include "sustainable human development" through the qualification of medical staff and the repair of damaged health facilities in Gaza.
The graduate doctors appreciated the historic Jordanian role in hosting the Gazans and facilitating their academic achievements.
The secretary of the Doctors' Syndicate, Dr. Muzaffar Al-Jalamdeh, distributed commemorative shields to the graduate doctors.
The event included documentary films about "the suffering of doctors in tents" in Gaza Strip, and a memorial for the late Dr. Marwan Al-Sultan as a tribute to his medical legacy.
