Dutch Airline Suspends Flights to Tel Aviv

Khaberni - The Dutch airline "KLM" announced on Thursday that it will suspend its flights to Tel Aviv starting from March 1, according to "Algemeen Dagblad" newspaper.

The newspaper quoted a company spokesperson saying: "At this time, operating flights to Tel Aviv is not commercially and operationally viable for KLM," confirming that the decision "is not related to any security considerations."

The Dutch company had previously suspended and resumed its flights to Tel Aviv several times.

This decision comes at a time when the region is experiencing escalating tension, as President Donald Trump stated on February 20 that he is considering the possibility of launching limited strikes on Iran. In response, Tehran warned that even a "limited strike" would be treated as an act of aggression.

The "Washington Post" revealed on Tuesday, citing flight tracking data and satellite images, that more than 150 military aircraft and about a third of all operating US ships are currently positioned near Iran.
