He has been choosing his judges for 70 years Laporta opens fire on Real Madrid

Khaberni  - In his new and controversial book "That's How We Saved Barcelona", which was launched in the markets yesterday, Tuesday, Joan Laporta did not only recount the scenes of rescuing the club financially, he also launched a sweeping counterattack targeting the heart of "Los Merengues" and the Spanish refereeing system.

Laporta and the "Negreria" Challenge

Where is the evidence? With full confidence, Laporta confronts in his memoirs the accusations of refereeing corruption linked to the "Negreria" case, affirming that the club did not commit any crime.

Laporta challenges all skeptics openly, asking them to point out "a single match or a single game" whose result changed because of those consultations, considering that the lack of evidence proves that the case is nothing but a campaign concocted to tarnish Barcelona's reputation.

The Blasting Response to Florentino Perez

In response to statements by the president of Real Madrid who described the case as "the greatest scandal in history", Laporta opted to turn the tables with historical facts. He revealed in his book that the real scandal lies in the control of "Los Madridistas" over the refereeing body for seven decades.

He clarified that the heads of refereeing committees throughout that period were either former players, administrators, or vocally declared supporters of Real Madrid, and they were the ones choosing the referees for all league and cup games.

70 Years of the "Madrid Stew"

Laporta affirms in his memoirs that this dominance is "the biggest scandal in the history of Spanish football", describing Real Madrid's stance as "opportunistic", claiming victimhood while having controlled the referee appointments for many years.

The Backstage of Major Crises

Alongside the refereeing conflict, the book delves into the details of the tough decisions taken by Laporta during his second term, starting from the painful departure of the legend Lionel Messi, to the firing of Koeman and Xavi, and the ongoing "Super League" battle that continues to stir controversy in the corridors of the European Union.
