Khaberni - The Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Authority directed two new letters to the Islamic Action Front party, calling through them to complete the alignment of its constitution with the standards approved by the council.
The letters clarified that the Islamic Action Front party has not completed rectifying violations represented in the "party name"; where the party law states that: "It is not permissible to establish a party on religious, sectarian, ethnic, or factional bases, nor on the basis of discrimination by gender or origin."
The council considered the party name an integral part of its political identity, affirming the necessity that the name should not carry any religious or ethnic connotations in accordance with the provisions of the law. The authority also noted that the party has a grace period of 60 days to rectify these violations.
