Khaberni - Within the vision of Mosul University for international openness and achieving comprehensive quality standards, and with direct support from its president, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Yasser Fakhri Mustafa, the college concluded a program hosting Associate Professor Dr. Mohammad Fouad Bayan from Philadelphia University, Jordan, as an external examiner for the General Pharmacy Master’s program from February 15 to February 17, 2026.
The hosting program witnessed intensive academic activity, beginning with formal meetings with the university presidency and the quality assurance department, followed by field tours of the research laboratories and classrooms to examine the infrastructure and scientific capabilities. The program also included an interactive aspect through the visiting professor's attendance at a scientific seminar discussion, and direct meetings with the master's students to assess their academic achievement and develop their research skills.
Dr. Bayan conducted a thorough review of the educational system, including:
Analysis of curricula and courses and their alignment with job market requirements.
Audit of examination records and assessment mechanisms for the academic year 2025-2026.
Presenting a specialized scientific lecture on the latest updates in pharmaceutical sciences.
The visit resulted in strategic agreements with the scientific committee chaired by Professor Dr. Harith Khaled, including the activation of joint supervision of academic theses and exchange of teaching expertise. The events concluded with a working session with the director of the quality assurance department, Professor Dr. Noha Salim, to complete the comprehensive evaluation report which represents a cornerstone in the college's journey towards international academic accreditation.
