Khaberni - Egyptian media personality Yasmin El-Khatib suffered a severe health setback which led to the halting of the filming of her Ramadan show "Behind the Sun," after contracting a severe bacterial infection in her facial tissues.
El-Khatib revealed the details of her condition through her official Facebook account, where she shared pictures with her audience that showed significant swelling and severe inflammation in the right cheek area, noting that her facial features had noticeably changed as a result of the infection.
The media figure explained that she began to feel the swelling from the first day of filming her program, but only discovered the true nature of her condition later. It turned out she had contracted a deep bacterial infection under the skin, leading to the formation of three large abscesses, which required her to undergo a precise surgical procedure on the third day of the holy month of Ramadan.
El-Khatib confirmed that her health condition was described as "poor," forcing her to suspend her media activities and stop filming episodes of her show "Behind the Sun," which is aired on the "Sun" satellite channel, concluding her statement with a request for prayers from her followers to help her overcome this health ordeal.
