Khaberni - Dr. Olga Tkatcheva, the head of geriatrics at the Russian Ministry of Health, reported that this unique pathway of changes depends on genetic factors, lifestyle, and other associated factors.
Dr. Tkatcheva notes that the personal "aging file" is uniquely formed for each individual, depending on genetic factors and lifestyle, in addition to other factors related to overall health.
Tkatcheva says, "Each person has their own 'aging file,' a unique pathway of changes, which could not be fully understood until the advent of biological age calculators. Now we know that aging occurs irregularly, and what's called 'aging peaks' can be identified."
She added that the changes accumulate intensively during specific age periods, where molecular, metabolic, and functional transformations in the body are concentrated. These transformations include changes in blood protein levels, accelerated inflammation, decreased elasticity of blood vessels, and deterioration of metabolic indicators.
The expert points out that these periods when aging accelerates make the body particularly sensitive to harmful factors, but at the same time, more receptive to preventive measures, providing an opportunity to improve health and prevent complications of aging.
